Google is launching iOS-style privacy labels for Android apps next year

Google‘s following Apple again by committing to introduce privacy labels for Android apps in the Play Store next year.

Google will show these labels for the app on the Play Store under the new Saftey section. It’ll show you what kind of data the app collects — approximate or exact location, personal information, photos, and storage — and how it plans to use the data.

The iPhone maker gave a glimpse of these labels last year at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), and introduced them to the App Store later in December. They give you an indication of what data

Y2k: the late 90s and early 00s fashions making a comeback | Fashion

Just when you thought current times couldn’t get any more fraught, along comes the threat of a low-rise jeans renaissance. And not just low-rise jeans – birthed by Alexander McQueen as “bumsters” – but many staples of late-90s and early 00s fashion.

The industry is calling it a “Y2k trend”; millennials everywhere are calling it harrowing. But Gen Z is on board (there are TikToks galore) and, predating the trend slightly, Etsy is reporting a 11360% increase in searches for smiley face jewellery, as well as huge upticks for mood rings.

A whole section of Etsy is

How to Use Fashion and Jewelry As Home Decor

Schiaparelli’s gilded aviator eyeglasses have been living in my head rent-free since I first saw them on Instagram late last year. I’m fascinated by their surrealist design, intrigued by their Dadaesque appeal. And like a magpie attracted to shiny objects, I need to own a pair (and I’d take those Swarovski-studded finger bijoux too, please).

How the Women’s Prison Association Is Working to Keep Mothers With Their Children

For some mothers, Mother’s Day is a time for celebration; for others, it’s a yearly reminder of milestones missed and opportunities lost to the most unjust of circumstances. Police in Florida were called to reports of an active shooter in a shopping mall as three people were rushed to hospital.

Images from the Aventura Mall in Miami show shoppers fleeing in terror after shots were reportedly fired, with witnesses saying people were “running and trampling” to get away.

Others were forced to hide inside shops and in storage rooms as the terrifying incident unfolded.

Three people were taken to hospital, according to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue service, but the extent of their injuries is not clear.

A source told the Miami Herald that there were two suspects, with

Master the seemingly impossible old style of stride piano

Nothing strikes fear into the hearts of piano players like the mention of stride piano. This seemingly impossible old style is like ragtime on steroids and pushes jazz pianists to the limit.

The left-hand alternates a low bass, frequently played in tenths, with close position midrange chords, while the right hand provides melody, syncopations, lines, and runs. The total effect is a relentless, locked-down swing eighth-note feel.

Even if you can’t invest the hours necessary to master stride, studying its fundamentals will increase your harmonic language skills and centre your time feel.

Plus, there’s nothing wrong with gaining an
