CARBONDALE — The Metropolis Council permitted a decision Thursday night time giving Metropolis Supervisor Gary Williams the authority to use for a grant to construct a brand new leisure venue on Washington Avenue.
Williams has till a Jan. 10 deadline to submit the appliance to the Rebuild Downtowns & Essential Streets Capital Grant Program offered by Illinois Division of Commerce and Financial Alternative (DCEO).
In September, the Illinois DCEO introduced that $45 million could be made obtainable to fund the Rebuild Downtowns & Essential Streets Capital Grant Program to supply grants of as much as $3 million to assist enhancements
